Scarlett A. Thompson, MA, LMHC (she/her)

Scarlett A. Thompson, MA, LMHC is a neurodivergent, queer, full-time mother, secondary school socio-emotional counselor, and licensed mental health counselor. She approaches therapy with an open and non-judgmental perspective, an abundance of curiosity, and a fierce sense of unconditional positive regard. She believes utilizing the lens of the label can help inform treatment, and sometimes the label is superfluous; both are valid perspectives and the preference of the client is the frame that is most important.

Scarlett works with individual adults, adolescents, and teens, as well as families, and couples. Many of her clients experience social, emotional, and behavioral challenges within their various systems; Scarlett’s strengths-based approach assists clients in attaining goals, self-advocacy among individual members, and personal growth.

Scarlett has over seven years of involvement in the educational and therapeutic fields supporting students and families with a spectrum of experience, and has a personal background living as both neurodiverse and queer. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters degrees at Eastern New Mexico University. She is licensed in both Washington state and New Mexico. She is certified in working with Giftedness/Twice-Exceptionality, and holds a Gottman Level 1 Certification. When she is not working as a therapist, Scarlett enjoys reading, drawing/painting, playing video games, walking in nature, playing D&D as well as any of the above with her family and friends.
